Summer School Holiday Program 2017
Paddock to Plate and Train Experience – Farmyard Fun!
Farm animals are more active in the mornings, so come before the heat of the day and see them at play…
How many stomachs does a cow have?
What is the name of a female sheep?
What does hay taste like?
How do you know if your horse is happy?
All these questions and many more will be answered as the Farmer’s wife shows you around the farm.
Make butter, grind wheat, and learn to crack a whip. Discover about the food chain and find out why poo is an important part of a healthy farm. Walk the dry paddocks and learn how Mother Nature survives through the hot summer months.
The children will be learning about farms and farm animals without even knowing it; they will think it is all fun!
Have a train ride, play on the hands-on railway displays and have a go at the outdoor old fashioned games. Then feed the friendly farm animals, blow cow horns, walk the open paddocks and then cool down in the undercover picnic area with yummy homemade pancakes.
So bring your hats, water and sunscreen and wear your walking shoes.
Arrive at 9.30am, have your train ride at 10am then spend the rest of the morning learning all things ‘farm’!
